Accommodation
Superior en suite accommodation is available in New Hall, conference accommodation owned by the University of St Andrews, from the afternoon of Sunday 5th September till the morning of Friday 10th September. New Hall, which is listed by the Scottish Tourist Board as a 3 star hotel, has the following facilities;
The hall is a 2-3 minute walk from the Physics and Mathematics buildings where the workshop is taking place. It is also a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of town. More information and pictures of New Hall can be found at the University's conference pages. New Hall should be booked through the conference, please select the appropriate option on the registration form. Note: It is not possible to book accommodation in New Hall on the night of Friday 10th September. This is due to Leuchars Air Show which takes place on 11th September. The Scores Hotel and the Rusacks Hotel Several rooms have been reserved in the Scores Hotel (3 star) and the Rusacks Hotel (4 star), both within a few minutes walk of the Mathematics and Physics buildings. These can be booked through the conference, and should be selected in the accommodation section of the registration form. The closing date for booking these options is 30th April. Booking Double Rooms Double rooms may be booked in New Hall, the Rusacks Hotel and the Scores Hotel. These are intended for people wishing to share with a spouse/partner (who may or may not be attending the conference). Please fill in the appropriate sections on the registration form. If both you and your spouse/partner are attending the conference, then both of you should register, but only one should fill in the accommodation section. Each of you should fill in the appropriate part of the sharing accommodation section so we can pair both registrations. If you wish to bring a spouse/partner who won't attend the conference, please fill in the accompanying person section. An accompanying persons fee of GBP 70.00 will be charged to cover the cost of their lunch (in New Hall), conference dinner & ceilidh, welcome reception and whisky tasting. Hotels and Guest Houses If you wish to book alternate accommodation yourself, there are many local hotels and guest houses within a 10 minute walk from the Mathematics and Physics Buildings and a list of local hotels has been compiled by the LOC. Note: St Andrews is a popular tourist town so please book your accommodation early. Also, Leuchars Air Show takes place on Saturday 11th September and accommodation will be scarce. If you plan to stay on after the conference, please book early. Other Hotels and Guest Houses may be found at the following external links;
