SOHO 15: Coronal Heating will be held in the Physics Building of the University of St Andrews,
Scotland, United Kingdom from Monday 6th to Thursday 9th September
2004. This timely meeting will focus on
- The latest theoretical ideas for solving this long-standing astrophysical
problem
- What insights SOHO and other space-based observatories (Yohkoh,
TRACE and RHESSI) have provided us with in regard to the physics of
heating processes operating in this tenuous plasma environment.
Also, the workshop be looking towards future solar missions (Solar-B, STEREO,
SDO and Solar Orbiter) with participants being encouraged to assess
their contributions with reference to the future instrumental
capabilities.
